Well known for golf, Horseshoe Bay golf courses have been consistently ranked among the top courses in the southwest with three championship courses designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr., a Jack Nicklaus Signature course, and a Tom Fazio design.
Slick Rock Golf Course Built in 1971 and renovated in 2016, this championship golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. is situated on 170 acres and offers more than 33,700 ft. of golf frontage property. It is known for its picturesque Million Dollar Hole.

Ram Rock Golf Course Known as “The Challenger” course, this 1981 Robert Trent Jones, Sr championship design received an admired 4 ½ star rating from Golf Digest and was named as one of the top 15 courses in the state by Golfweek.

Apple Rock Golf Course Finishing out the triad of championship golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr, built in 1986, this course was reopened in 2019. One of the most scenic courses in the state, this championship course offers striking views and was designed around the natural Hill Country terrain.

Summit Rock Summit Rock is the newest jewel in the crown of Horseshoe Bay golf courses. Built in 2012, this renowned private course is available solely to Summit Rock Golf Club Members. Summit Rock Golf membership offers access to the three existing Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf courses as well as to Summit Rock Course. Existing Horseshoe Bay Golf Members are invited to elevate their current category by adding Summit Rock to become Summit Rock Golf Club Members.

Escondido Golf Course A Tom Fazio designed 18-hole private Escondido course is a true masterpiece. Membership includes full privileges to all of Escondido’s world-class amenities including the Tom Fazio golf course, fully serviced Lake Club, and upcoming Escondido Spa. Members are required to own property in Escondido or individual memberships are available.

Whitewater Putting Course Tucked away in the Horseshoe Bay Resort Hotel’s tropical hideaway landscape, is one of the most unique courses Horseshoe Bay has to offer. This multi-million dollar 18-hole Bermuda grass putting course will take your breath away. Suited for any skill level golfer and complete with fairways, bunkers, water hazards, and waterfalls.
Tennis and Pickle Ball
Horseshoe Bay offers a top-notch tennis facility with various court surfaces available. Arranged around gorgeous Oriental gardens and ponds, you will find 14 total tennis courts with 8 hard courts, 6 USTA certified clay courts, and 8 pickleball courts if you prefer a modified game.
Marina and water activities
Horseshoe Bay Resort Marina is home to a fine fleet of luxury boats and personal watercraft rentals from kayaks, paddle boards, pontoon boats and ski boats.
POOLS
Horseshoe Bay offers relaxing swimming pools to splash in the wave, soak up some sun or relax under the shade.
Yacht Club Pool & Beach
An experience that can satisfy everyone in the family while on vacation or Horseshoe Bay Resort members, the Yacht Club is the place to go. At the Yacht Club you will find the resort's largest pool surrounded by cabanas and beautiful Lake LBJ views. You will also find Turtle Beach, a white sand beach that is kid friendly for the young and young at heart who wish to swim or build sandcastles along the shore.
Tower Pool
The Horseshoe Bay Resort Hotel offers their guest a large, heated pool with fiber optic lights and a breathtaking waterfall that flows from the seclusive hot tub over into the shallows of the main pool. The pool also has a kids' pool and poolside Cafe del Sol. Day or Night, guest will truly feel that they have entered a paradise as they are surrounded by a tropical atmosphere.
Paseo Pool
Need a dip after an invigorating workout? Jump right into the Paseo pool and hot tub which is conveniently located adjacent to the Paseo Fitness Center.
Cap Rock Pool
Exclusive to members, the pool at Cap Rock Falls Clubhouse is a multi-tiered pool featuring a 30 foot cascading waterfall and overlooks the 18th green of the Apple Rock Golf Course. As you relax, enjoy the full bar, sandwiches and snacks available poolside from the Cap Rock Pool Cabana.
